Matthew Darcy Van Der Möser – Matteo Marsini
Born in Rome in 1986, he developed his interest in contemporary art at the early age of twelve as a novice graffiti writer. Throughout the years, he improved his style painting around Italy and even abroad on the walls of Barcelona, Maastricht, Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul, London and Adelaide in Australia too.
Beside walls, since 2004 he also painted skateboards and a few canvases which took part to several collective national and international exhibitions in Rome and Verona.
Graduated in International Relations in 2012, he developed his career as marketing specialist and graphic designer in the fields of diplomacy first and luxury hospitality then. Year after year he improved his graphic design skills producing illustrations and collaterals for several institutions and companies such as the NATO Foundation, the Italian Foreign Office, Hilton Hotels and much more. Such a professional growth brought him to London in 2019 where he currently lives together with his partner and muse Eléonore.
Ribbon House of Notting Hill is his apartment and studio. There, inspired by neighbourhood natural wildlife, in January 2020 he started developing a new concept of painting 100% made in Notting Hill.
Such a new approach only uses British paint on wood boards reused taken from construction sites nearby his house. As a result, that’s the reason why every paint might have an unconventional size and they often have an irregular shape too. Following the same recycling philosophy, frames are as well reused and handmade. Concerning the main characters of these paintings, in his artworks we do find nothing but Notting Hill and Holland Park natural wildlife caught in connection with timeless and refined British lifestyle.
In September 2020 he becomes Earthborn paint Brand Ambassador.
In October 2020 he starts exhibiting and selling his artworks at Select Gallery of Notting Hill.
